Geiranger - Valldal - Trollstigen - Åndalsnes This trip, which is also known as "The Golden Route", takes you from Geiranger to Åndalsnes. The small town of Åndalsnes is idyllically located in the valley of Romsdal, at the mouth of the river Rauma, by the Romsdalsfjord. Åndalsnes is surrounded by high mountains and offers stunning scenery. The route includes both the Eagle Road, a zig-zaged road up the steep valley sides of Geirangerfjord with a number of breathtaking view points overlooking the valley, and the world famous Trollstigen, with its hairpin turns down towards Åndalsnes. Departure from: Union Hotel (just outside the hotel) or Geiranger village centre   There is a free Hopperguide available for this trip Hopperguide uses the GPS technology in your phone to give location-based information for your trip. Information will be presented through sound, pictures, text and links. Download the hopperguide app from App Store or Google Play. The trip starts at Åndalsnes, curves up the hairpin turns of the famous Trollstigen, where the bus stops for 25 minutes at the Trollstigen plateau, enabling you to enjoy the spectacular view. After the break, the bus continues towards UNESCO World Heritage listed Geiranger. Åndalsnes - Molde This trip takes you from Åndalsnes to Molde and is a great option if you arrive at Åndalsnes by train and want to go on to Molde.  Molde is famous for its view towards the “Molde Panorama”, the impressive row of mountains on the other side of the fjord. Located between sea and mountains and with a short distance from the one to the other, you can explore the fjord, the town center and the mountains behind the town in a short time. In the summer, the town lives up to its name “Town of roses”, and in July the famous Molde International Jazz Festival takes place. The bus goes via the Åfarnes – Sølsnes ferry to Molde. The bus goes on the ferry and continues to Molde. Molde - Sjøholt - Eidsdal - Geiranger The first leg of this one way trip takes you from Molde to Sjøholt. This stretch includes a ferry trip of about 35 minutes, allowing you to see the town of Molde from the seaside. You can also enjoy one of the local specialties, svele (a type of sweet pancake) that you can buy onboard. From Sjøholt, the trip continues to Linge ferry quay, where you leave the bus and take the ferry to Eidsdal ferry harbor. From Eidsdal, the trip goes on to Geiranger by bus, via the spectacular Eagle Road where there is a short photo stop. In Geiranger you can enjoy the view of one of the most beautiful fjords in the world – surrounded by mighty mountains. Geiranger - Eidsdal - Sjøholt - Molde Visit one of the world’s most beautiful fjords and enjoy the mighty mountains! The trip goes by bus from Geiranger, up the spectacular Eagle Road, and to Eidsdal where you cross by ferry to Linge. From Linge, you continue via Sjøholt to Molde. The trip from Sjøholt to Molde includes a ferry trip on the Romsdalsfjord, with a magnificent view towards Molde.
